CHAIR LOOKING FURRA GOOD HOME

Before I start ………… this does not mean that Alan Robertson oor chairman is looking furra guid hame!!!!

We received a call from Jill Sheil, Earlston saying that she had an electric recliner chair thingy that was looking for a good home……….. The chair is maroon in colour.

If you feel you would benefit from this terrific piece of engineering if you give Jill Shiel a call on 01835 823 176.

If you would need a hand to transport the chair…… fear not …… just call Davies & Hattie Haulage aka Gary 01750 22588 who will pick up the chair for you free oa charge. As Jill told us she is not looking for money for the chair it is free if you can give it a good home……

Aye folks I hate to be the barer oa glad tidings but with Christmas in mind I have these couple bits oa information that might be useful to you……………………………………

Every year the Parky Xmas Catalogue comes out, this year is no exception, but for the first time you can place yer order online!!!! Aye! The internet has landed at Parkinson’s UK. The web address for all items available this year is

www.parkinsonsuk.co.uk/shop

Happy surfing. Oh aye if yer looking at the products available this year can you guess what wee Olly will be getting? (Clue its tae do wi brain cells!!)

Also on the Christmas front………………… last year we had to cancel our Christmas shopping trip due to the weather conditions being only suitable fur sledging and skiing as modes oa transport. With this in mind we have brought the date of this year’s shopping trip to November.

We have booked this year’s Christmas Party for Wednesday 7th December and it will be at Hawick Rugby Club where we will have fun, games, a buffet, and maybe even Santa….(does Santa go to Hawick?)

We are going to arrange transport to the party from all areas to make it easy for everyone to attend. More details nearer the time.

Finally on the Christmas front a few of you have asked if there was any chance of a Christmas party coming back so we are going to try out the party theme this year.

This year’s trip will be on Tuesday 15th November going to Livingstone Shopping Centre. Full details will be printed nearer the time.

GARY’S THOUGHT FUR THE DAY

Yes it is with great pleasure that I can announce some terrific news about someone we all know, and are grateful for all the work she does………..

Oor Parky Nurse Specialist (pictured) Jill Anderson, recently received her Diploma on Parkinson’s Disease. What a star she is!!

Here at the newsletter offices we thought that in recognition of her achievements Jill should be the first recipient of the Borders Parky’s Smarty Pants of the Year trophy…………………  Once it has been constructed, if we ever get planning permission for it that is!!!

I’m sure I speak for everyone when I send Jill oor CONGRATULATIONS
