LAST COMMITTEE MEETING

We thought it might be a guid idea to let you all know what was discussed at the last Committee Meeting. This is a brief summary of the meeting held on Tuesday 18th October?

Just to keep everyone informed about what is being discussed at the committee meeting, the main points were;

·    Hoping to get lifestyle management program up and running again.

·    Considering setting up sub groups in places like Newcastleton/Peebles etc.

·    Would like to see specialist PD NHS physio at Melrose as exists in Hawick

·    Set up a young person’s support group

·    Further develop transport policy this being even more urgent due to cuts in local bus services especially in rural/isolated areas, taxi fares being prohibitive so some subsidy will need to be considered.

·    Setting up a carers group, a volunteer has been identified.

Hope this is useful

Alan Robertson (Chair)
