We’re the Parkinson’s support and research charity. Help us find a cure and improve life for everyone affected by Parkinson’s.

Last month the atmosphere in the chaplaincy was  electric as teams fought for every point  to win the Gordon Melrose cup, the answers were kept under lock an key, until all the teams had handed o’er their sheets, just in case oa any skull duggary!!  In what was a closely fought competition the first ever winners oa the cup were the three amigos. The team consisted oa, Jim Drover, John Shiell and Alan Robertson. Congratulations go to them.  The next scheduled quiz will be next April.  Bring it on!

At this month’s meeting we will be welcoming a couple of speakers to the meeting. Firstly Corrina Beighton from Ability Borders. This is a new service which is aimed at improving the lives of people living with a long term condition or physical disability.

Secondly Nicky Kershaw from encompass, she is coming to tell us about changes to care in the community, and among other things what support is there to help us.

Ability Borders and Encompass are both charities set up locally to assist us and hopefully make our lives easier.
