PARKY THE BEARS BIRTHDAY REVIELED

Well we finally got to find out when Parky the bears date of birth is, all was revealed during the summer, 27th August!! The winner was 2 year old Neil Guy, though I suspect it wasnae him who wrote the entry down.

The total amount raised was an amazing £102.50!!! Thanks to Erin, she is pictured below revealing the birth certificate wi’ her proud Gran Margaret McKay.

The thanks of everyone involved in the group goes to Erin whom we believe is celebrating her 10th birthday on a certain date in August, mmmmm I wonder what date the date of Erin’s birthday is?

DIDN’T WE HAVE A LOVELY TIME WHEN WE VISITED DEVIL’S PORRIDGE!!

CHANGE OF VENUE

We’re the Parkinson’s support and research charity. Help us find a cure and improve life for everyone affected by Parkinson’s.

Too right we did!! Everyone I think enjoyed the day we had at devil’s porridge, the sun shone on us from start of the day till the close. What a fab place to go visit, the hospitality was unbeatable, the museum unforgettable, the weather unexpected!!

I know I personally I had a hoot, but one day wasn’t enough to take in all the information on display so I will be returning. The food was great all served up by volunteers from the area. As you can see tony had problems with one oa the staff, as he gesticulated not realising he was talking to ruby the scarecrow in the devils porridge veg patch!!!

The September young person’s gig will be on Tuesday 8th September 6.30 till 8.00.

Please note a change of venue; we are now going to meet in The Golden Lion in Galashiels this can be found at the corner where the traffic lights are at the end of the High Street and not H2O.

Parking can be found across the road in Roxburgh Street.

Monday Meetings Resume At The Chaplaincy Centre, BGH 2.00 Till 4.00, The Final Singing Wi’ Parky…. But This Comes Wi A Twist? Come Along An Find Oot Whit The Twist Is.

All in all it was a crackin day for all who attended, we would like to thank Ann Chisolm for her help in organising the day. An to oor transport manager Tony for sortin oot the bus! Ideas are now being taken for 2016 trip…………..
